A state of the art hospital equipped with latest gadgets and technical college will be constructed in Allama Iqbal city. This news was shared by Mian Kashif Ashfaq, Chairman Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) while talking to a delegation of investors.
Kashif said that the college would provide specialized medical cover and the technical education to train youth under one umbrella. Opening up the use of social infrastructures such as hospital and a tech college would make Special Economic Zones (SEZs) more attractive for local and foreign investors, as described by the press release. The chairman also said emergency and cardiac wards would begin operation and burn units will also be constructed. The hospital will also provide in-door and out-door medical facilities to the needy citizens.
He further added that the technical education college will impart market-oriented education to youths which will help fight unemployment and meet the requirements of skilled manpower shortage, which the industrial and commercial units are facing in the present.
Kashif said, “It would also enable them to become self-reliant and support their families. If we want to move forward as a nation it is essential to promote public-private partnership and work in close collaboration with industry and provincial governments to become a catalyst for vocational training”.
Furthermore, these initiatives would provide 25% job opportunities to the people living in close vicinity to Allama Iqbal Industrial City, the chairman added. He remarked that Faisalabad will become one of the leading industrial estates of Pakistan because of its geo-strategic location.
FIEDMC chairman said that the industrial units established in the estate could easily make their exports to any part of the world. “This project will certainly attract maximum investment from Pakistan as well as from abroad which will pave way for the early colonization of this mega project. We have a large number of investors from Pakistan and abroad and the industrial estate will meet the needs of new manufacturing units”, he added.
