Swiftkey for Android gets Bing Search

Since the start of this month, Android users with Swiftkey beta app have been testing integrated Bing search in the keyboard. Bing allowed users to make quick searches directly from their keyboards. The feature is out of beta phase and now everyone can update their Swift keyboard to get access to the new feature.

There is a ‘+’ icon on the left side which users can press to open the search bar. When a search is made, it is not opened in your default browser but rather it opens as an overlay. At the moment the search is limited to Bing search and we believe that it will continue to stay this way, sorry Google fans. This is not shocking as Microsoft owns Swiftkey and it makes sense for them to push Bing.
Google has offered a similar feature in its G-board keyboard app available on ios and android. There when a search is made, it uses Google search, so Google lovers have something as well.

At the moment the native search supports users from 11 countries with more to follow soon. The 11 supported countries are U.S., UK, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Brazil, India, Italy, and Spain. We tested Swiftkey here in Pakistan and the search option worked perfectly fine, so do update to the latest version if you want to get access to this feature.

Swiftkey is an intelligent keyboard app that is powered by artificial intelligence and supports swipe typing. It was acquired by Microsoft for $250 million back in 2016.
