Apple has always boasted its impeccable cameras and how great they are for taking exquisite photos. And videos too. They even have an Instagram account that is fully dedicated to #ShotOniPhone. But a certain Hollywood Director has taken things to the next level by shooting his newest film on an iPhone.
Zack Snyder, well-known for directing the Superman reboot movies, drifted away from high-budget movies for his latest venture. And he took that quite literally as his new 4-minute short film called ‘Snow Steam Iron’ was produced with the help of his friends and family, and was shot on an iPhone. However, it can’t be said that it was shot entirely with an iPhone. There was a lot of other support equipment involved. Snyder used a Zeiss ExoLens, a Kessler Pocket Dolly, a DJI drone for aerial shots, and smartphone camera rigs.
But here’s the thing, even though the movie was shot on an iPhone, you wouldn’t be able to tell that by looking at the trailer. The shots look absolutely brilliant and with an added score, the trailer looks just like that of any other Hollywood movie.
The synopsis is rather interesting too.
“Snow gently falls on the blood-stained streets of a seedy out-of-time New York City. Steam envelopes the nightmare unfolding within its narrow alleys. Iron is the will of the one who would dare to resist… fight… survive.”

The movie is available on a rather unknown social-media site called Vero and is available to US citizens right now.
However, this isn’t the first movie to be shot using an iPhone. Numerous indie movies, like 2015’s Sundance hit Tangerine, was shot on an iPhone 5S.
