Senior Minister for Information Technology (IT), Shahram Tarakai, has advised the management of IT department to make all necessary arrangements to provide free WiFi round the clock within the campuses that come under the radar of their Open WiFi project. The decision comes in the light of “KP Open WiFi” project, which entails accessibility to free and open WiFi across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In addition to open Wifi, Shahram also gave feedback about different IT initiatives introduced under KP Information Technology Board. While chairing the meeting, Shahram showed special interest in developing initiatives for youth employment in the province.
“Empowerment of youth is on the top of the priority list of the PTI-led provincial government as they are the future of our nation and as such the provincial government is investing more and more on their empowerment.”, he added while speaking to media.
Shahram encouraged the management to focus on youth-oriented projects.
