Steam is the world’s biggest gaming library to buy video games, developed by Valve Corporation, it also provides other digital distribution services, like multiplayer gaming, video streaming, social networking and more. What makes it truly extraordinary is its annual sales of games, offering discounts up to 70% percent. Just yesterday, the platform launched its Intergalactic Summer Sale to the PC gamers community all over the globe but with the massive crowd trying to get in and clear their wallets off, the website couldn’t handle the load and went down reportedly for hours right after the sale commenced.
The annual sale is scheduled for June 21st to July 5th and has got sweet deals on all sorts of games, including AAA titles along with games from indie developers. Luckily, for those who can’t wait any longer, the Valve servers are back on running. However, the website is still wobbly in use due to the humongous traffic load. So, those with patience are suggested to keep your money to yourselves a while longer until the heat cools down a bit, as the discounts are here for two more weeks.
