Specs of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro leaked ahead of launch

Xiaomi is all set to unveil the Redmi Note 5 along with its Pro variant tomorrow on February 14. And the full specifications of both devices have been leaked online before official launch via TecnoCodex.

Most interestingly, the leak has also disclosed that Xiaomi is working on a Redmi Note 5 Pro, which is powered by Qualcomm’s latest mid-range Snapdragon 636 chipset. It appears like the Redmi Note 5 Pro will have dual cameras at the back, in a 12MP + 5MP configuration, with a 20MP front camera with LED flash up front.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro’s processor comes with octa-core CPU, combined with 1.8 GHz, and an Adreno 509 GPU. On the front, it has the same display panel as the Redmi Note 5, a 5.99-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution.

The back camera setup of the device gives a similar look to the iPhone X’s design from the back. The fingerprint scanner is positioned on the back, while the power button and volume rocker sit on the right side. There is a 4,000 mAh battery in the device. The Redmi Note 5 Pro arrives with MIUI 9, based on Android Nougat and will be available in Blue, Rose Gold, Champagne Gold and Black colors. There will be three memory and price combinations – 3 GB + 32 GB, 4 GB + 64 GB and 6 GB + 64 GB.

Well for the Redmi Note 5, our earlier guesses were quite accurate, as the device will be featuring a Snapdragon 625 platform as its predecessor, along with a 4000mAh battery, and memory configurations of 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. It will be available in four colors – Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, Blue, and Black.

The leak suggests that both phones will support 5.99-inch 18:9 displays.

The only important thing that we don’t know yet is the price of smartphones and worry not as the phones going to be unveiled in India tomorrow, so will now soon enough. Considering Pakistan as an important market for Xiaomi, next stop of these devices could be Pakistan.
