Sony opens beta registration for the next PlayStation 4 system update

Sony is preparing to launch the next major update for the PlayStation 4 and beta registrations are now opened.

Sony wants to get beta testers on board in order to test the service before making it available for general public. The beta update will be launched in early August and users will be able to apply for the beta update until then.

Sony also tested the update 4.5 with some beta users before launching it to the public. And the beta users were able to try the new features including the external HDD support, Quick menu refresh, custom wallpapers, Boost Mode for PS4 Pro and much more. Now following the suit beta version of PlayStation 4 is awaiting early adopters and enthusiasts who want to get their hands on the service before anyone else.

Users can sign up for the beta at PlayStation’s official site. To be a beta tester, you must be at least 18 years old and have access to the master account. There is one more unusual requirement that you must be a PlayStation Now subscriber. When you sign up for the beta, you’ll get an email with instructions on how to download and install the beta. And there is one more convenience that you can roll back to the previous update at any time.

It must be noted here that beta versions are not for the faint hearted people, these versions are expected to be unstable with glitches here and there. If glitches, slow performance and unstableness in a service frustrates you, you shouldn’t be the one signing up for this beta update.
