Google Pixel 2 XL is facing a lot of problems since its launch. First, some users reported that there is some screen burn-in issue with the device. According to some people, when you look at the screen with a grey background you will observe faint impressions of navigation buttons of the device at the bottom. Google actively started investigating the issue and later found out that it was not an issue at all.
Now according to some users on Reddit, some Pixel 2 XL devices are shipping without an Operating System. When users are turning on their device for the first time, it says “Can’t find valid operating system. The device will not start.” and asks you to visit a link from another device. Here’s what a Reddit user reacted when he received the Pixel 2 XL with no operating system.
“I came home excited to unbox my new Pixel 2 XL. Upon turning on the device I was greeted with a black screen stating, “Can’t find valid operating system. The device will not start.” Spent an hour on the chat with two different customer service reps and they are wanting to send me a replacement phone. Really frustrating.”
After the guy posted that on Reddit, a lot of other people also appeared in the comments who were facing the same issue. So apparently, people at Google are rushing and shipping the phones without an operating system.
However, Google has reached out to Android Police and confirmed that it has fixed the problem. Stay tuned to know more.
