Sindh It Students To Learn Online From Harvard Professor

KARACHI: A Harvard University professor will now offer online courses to IT students as part of the Sindh Governor’s initiative.

This project was discussed during a meeting between Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori and Professor Randall Kroszner, who is linked with both Illinois and Harvard Universities.

According to reports, they discussed mutual concerns, such as online classes for IT students and other relevant things. Professor Kroszner will offer online classes to IT students twice a week.

Professor Kroszner also paid a visit to the IT marquee, Umeed ki Ghanti (Bell of Hope), and praised the Governor’s effort for a ration push.

Governor Kamran Tessori expressed his deep gratitude for the efforts made to support the underprivileged, emphasizing how honored he is to have the opportunity to teach these deserving young people.

Earlier, the Sindh Governor announced a program to subsidize the costs of Google certifications for students pursuing careers in IT. After discussions with the Google team in Islamabad, a consensus was reached to offer certifications to students who successfully pass the qualifying test.

These certifications will open doors for students to join online communities, enabling them to earn a sustainable income from home.

To further empower youth in today’s competitive job market, Governor Kamran Tessori launched the “Governor Sindh IT Initiative” this year. This program aims to equip young people with valuable IT skills, helping them stand out and thrive in the digital economy.
