A new app is launched by the name of SideSqueeze which will let you perform an action by squeezing the sides of your phone. The Pixel 2 and HTC U11 both phones give users an option to perform an action by squeezing their phone. This feature was previously exclusive to these phones only, SideSqueeze is breaking the barriers and bringing it to Galaxy S8, S8+, and Note 8 devices.
The developer of SideSqueeze believes that it can come to any device that is water resistant (IP68 rating) and has a barometric pressure sensor. But for now, the app SideSqueeze is being tested in the Galaxy S-series and the note series.
With testing going on for Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8. You could easily download the app on your phone and use to for many actions like opening up the Facebook application, you can also open your work applications such as Google keep to note down any important stuff when you’re on the go. The squeezing function can be used for a lot of different tasks depending on the user.
If you happen to have a phone that supports SideSqueeze, it would be quite beneficial for you, imagine you could make it perform simple tasks such as opening up the camera or launching an application such as Snapchat or Google assistant.
The best thing about SideSqueeze is that you can perform different kinds of actions whether the screen is on or off or even on the lock screen. And you can also adjust that how much pressure needs to be applied to set off the task.
The application is free, you can easily download it from Google Play store. There is one important thing the application warns about is that you do not to press the sides of your phone too hard. As we know Pixel 2 and HTC U11 were properly designed for a function that they could be squeezed, so no one knows what squeezing might do to your phone. Better watch out while squeezing and don’t get too hard on your phone.
