FAISLABAD:A devastating fire broke out on Monday evening near Haq Bahu Chowk in Sultanpura, Faisalabad, critically injuring seven members of a family. The fire was reportedly triggered by an explosion from the battery of an electric motorcycle that was being charged through a plug connected to an electric board.
As flames engulfed the house, local residents rushed to the scene to assist, and the emergency response team from Rescue 1122 arrived promptly to extinguish the fire. Although the family members responded promptly, the fire resulted in severe injuries, including critical burns for all.
Shahzad Mukhtar (40), Anwar Bibi (50), Aliya Bibi (32), and Asma Bibi (35), as well as juvenile Saifullah (1), Mohid (10 months), and Fatima (6 months), have been identified as the victims. Each victim were taken to the burn unit of Allied Hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment from our staff.

Residents are advised to consider proper charging practices, such as using certified charging equipment and ensuring that batteries are in good condition, to prevent similar incidents in the future.
