Sci-tech minister calls Muftis biggest threat to Pakistan

The Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Ch in a Twitter post has said that religious clerics are the biggest threat to Pakistan. In his tweeter post, the sci-tech minister wrote that people from all sects should perform jihad against this attitude of Molvis, as 75% of our country’s problem arise due to such clerics.

The Tweet says, “The biggest threat to Pakistan is religious clerics. 75 percent of our problems are because of these religious scholars. Bilawal Bhutto deserves praise on this stance.”

Fawad Ch tweeted this after the All Parties Conference (APC) which held at the residence of Jamiat Ulema Islam’s (JUI-F) Chief, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman. Maulana during the ceremony said, “Imran Khan has committed blasphemy against the Companions of the Prophet (PBUH), and this issue must be highlighted in the APC declaration.”

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) opposed the Maulana Fazl’s proposal to make religious allegations on the current Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said that he will not use the religion card against anyone to support his cause. Fawad Ch praised the stance taken by Bilawal and said that he should be applauded for this.

It is to be noted here that the APC was conducted to discuss a movement against the PTI’s government, the removal of Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and the observance of “Black Day” on July 25.

This is not the first time Fawad Ch has said something against the religious clerics, a few months ago at the beginning of Ramzan the minister made a statement about the members of Ruet-e-Hilal committee, he said, “There should be no compensation for moon sighting. Ruet-e-Hilal committee members should sight the crescent voluntarily”. This statement later sparked a lot of controversy against the minster.
