SBP Introduces Direct Investment Platform for Government Securities

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced the launch of a new platform called InvestPak, aimed at simplifying the process of investing directly in government securities. This initiative will allow individuals and organizations to bypass traditional banking intermediaries, providing an opportunity to earn better returns while fostering a culture of saving and investment.

What is InvestPak?

InvestPak is an advanced IT system developed, controlled, and maintained by the SBP. It serves as a one-stop portal for:

  • Participating in online government securities auctions.
  • Buying and selling government securities in the secondary market.
  • Managing personal or organizational portfolios of government securities.

The platform is accessible to any individual or corporate entity holding a valid bank account in Pakistan, opening doors for a broader range of investors to participate in the country’s financial system.

By enabling direct investment, the SBP aims to make government securities more attractive to investors, reduce reliance on banks, and promote financial inclusion. This move is expected to enhance liquidity in the government securities market and contribute to the country’s economic stability.

InvestPak is poised to transform the investment landscape, offering a secure, convenient, and efficient way to engage with government-backed financial instruments.
