Sana Safinaz ecommerce store featured as a case study on Magento official website

Magento Live UK followed by Magento International, has recently showcased the success story of a local fashion brand Sana Safinaz on their platform. Published as a case study, the article which is showcased at the company’s global homepage, speaks about how the company was able to develop a state-of-the-art cloud solution in just a month which stood by the immense summer sale traffic.

Sana Safinaz, one of the Pakistan’s leading female apparel brand, is making waves after it was able to the successfully develop and deploy a Magento cloud 2X solution for its ecommerce business, the first ever Pakistani firm to have done so. The task undertaken by another Pakistani firm, WebWorks.pk, was provided within very tight deadlines and that too state-of-the-art.

Earlier this year, while prepping for the summer sale season (lawn season), Sana Safinaz thought out to update their web store to cater the ever increasing influx of customers that preferred online shopping. “Compared to normal trading days at our brick and mortar stores, the footfall during collection launches increases 600 percent,” Sana Safinaz’s Head of Retail Business Haris Ahmed, told Magento. Proportionally, the traffic on the company’s website also increases during the said sale period. With the summer sale season right at the length of 4 weeks, the brand approached a local services provider company to deploy a cloud solution capable enough to handle the immense traffic.

Sana Safinaz asked Webwork Solution (Pvt.) Ltd, to deploy their business on the Magento Commerce (formerly known as Magento Enterprise Cloud Edition) platform which is a Magento cloud 2X solution. After the solution was deployed, the pageload time was cut by 35% despite the fact that the traffic grew greatly. As much as an 87% spike was witnessed in the page view statistics of the webstore. After getting live, the website which processed a maximum of 1,000 orders in a day was able to handle more than 5,000 orders on the first day of the sale.

The Pakistani economy and businesses have happened to be one of the most underrated market and commerces of the world. Quite recently, we, however, have observed that the global market watchers and analysts have started to celebrate the quality of Pakistani market and the amount of customers it caters.
