Samsung made these major announcements at MENA Forum 2017

At the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) forum, currently undergoing in Singapore, Samsung has announced new consumer products for the fiscal year 2017.

During the MENA forum, Samsung Electronics MENA unveiled how it is building on its heritage of innovation to reach higher for consumers.

During the forum, Samsung announced a number of key product included a new QLED TV lineup, FlexWash laundry system, Windless AC and the new Galaxy A (2017) series. In addition to its product line-up, Samsung showcased how it has been developing the Internet of Things (IoT) with an ecosystem of products and devices that can seamlessly connect to one another.
As Internet of things appears to be exploding on the world market, Samsung seemed to be more focused on this particular segment of the market. Talking about Samsung’s commitment to Internet of Things, President of Samsung Electronics, Choong Ro Lee said:

“Innovation has always been a part of Samsung’s legacy, enabling us to continuously offer consumers unlimited possibilities and new experiences. Over the years, we spoke about our vision of the Internet of Things, and we continue to defy the barriers to ensure our evolution in the IoT space. This year, we will continue our heritage of innovation to deliver elegantly designed products and services that place consumers firmly at the center.”

Samsung Youngsters Academy Program

Samsung has previously taken part in multiple efforts to empower communities throughout MENA region. Some of these efforts have centered around encouraging young people to take a greater part in the development of technology. Continuing some of those efforts, Samsung announced the Samsung Youngsters Academy Program during MENA forum. This program will enable youths in the region to embrace technology at a much greater scale.

Additionally, in collaboration with NGO’s, ministries of education and universities around the region, Samsung has worked on expanding its previously launched Smart School initiative to more MENA cities.
