Samsung has unveiled its latest additions to the W series, the W25 and W25 Flip, at a launch event in China. The W25 is the Chinese variant of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which was previously launched in South Korea. The new foldable devices bring impressive design upgrades and powerful specifications for users seeking cutting-edge mobile technology.
The Samsung W25 offers a sleek design, measuring just 10.6mm when folded, 1.5mm thinner than the Z Fold 6. When opened, it’s only 4.9mm thick, featuring an 8-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a 20:18 aspect ratio, providing a wider viewing experience.
The 6.5-inch outer display is great for use, and the 200MP main camera as well as the 12MP ultra-wide for capturing the big picture and the 10MP telephoto for the fine details promise a tremendous shoot. Equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform, 16GB RAM, coupled with up to 1TB storage means high performance. The 4MP under-screen front camera and the 10MP outer camera make video calls a pleasure for the eyes.
The Samsung W25 Flip, with a 6.7-inch Full HD + Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, also supports a 120Hz screen refresh rate. Its 3.4-inch external display is touch-sensitive and it can be used to easily manage notifications and calls. Equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and packed with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The smartphones come with a 50MP primary camera along with an impressive 12MP ultra-wide lens for enhanced image quality and a 10MP front camera for selfies and video calls. A configuration is boosted by a 4000mAh battery that via USB supports up to 25W of fast charging and wirelessly up to 15W.
The Samsung W25 is priced at 15,999 yuan (620,100 PKR) for the 16GB+512GB version, while the 16GB+1TB model is available for 17,999 yuan (697,647 PKR). Meanwhile, the Samsung W25 Flip is priced at 9,999 yuan (387,564 PKR) for the 12GB+512GB variant.
Both devices are available for pre-order now and will officially go on sale in China on November 15th, 2024.
