Samsung to skip Note 6 to announce Note 7 this year, rumors suggest

The next series of the elusive Samsung Galaxy Note series would be skipping a number i.e. the next phablet in the series is going to be the Galaxy Note 7 directly after the Galaxy Note 5 that was announced last year. The possible reason behind this move could be the fact that the Galaxy S series launched the S7 and S7 Edge this year and consequently, there should be a Galaxy Note 7. Though nothing can be said for sure right now.

Moving on towards the specifications (rumored) for the Galaxy Note 7. The phablet is likely to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with a 5.8″ QHD display set at a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The phablet will likely feature models with 32/64/128/256 GB storage options and 6 GB of RAM. The camera is likely to be the same as that on the Samsung Galaxy S7.

Finally, Evan Blass, a reputable mobile reported, has said that the Galaxy Note 7 is due to launch in the first week of August. “Galaxy Note 6/7 launch event is almost exactly two months away,” tweeted Evan Blass.
