Samsung to make mid-range phones expensive

Samsung Galaxy A8 series

As per the circulating reports coming from Korea, Samsung will not be revealing the Samsung Galaxy S9 at the Consumer Electronics Show but it will be revealing an upped version of its Samsung Galaxy A8 series.

Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8+ are the anticipated mid-range phones of Samsung and they will be released this year with some key features borrowed from the flagship S series. This year A8 and A8+ are expected to have a shape like the bigger brothers S8 and S8+ with infinity and bezel-less display. Both of these devices, according to a leaked video, will have the new 18:9 display and ultra-wide Super AMOLED panels.

Fingerprint sensors will be thoughtfully placed below the camera not beside it. The phones will have 3000 mAh and 3500 mAh batteries. Both of the phones will have Exynos 7885 chipset. Allegedly, both of the phones will have an IP68 rating. This means that both of the phones will be water and dust resistant as well.

All of these specs will make these smartphones upper mid-rangers which mean that the price of these premium-looking mid-range phones will be bumped up as well. These phones are speculated to be in the range of $500 to $600.

Seems like 2018 will be the year in which we will see the price range of mid-range phones increase as well.

Yes, Samsung is making the mid-range phones expensive.
