Samsung has announced the launch of its official community of Samsung Members in Pakistan. There are more than half a million members registered on the Samsung Members app that is available for download from the play store. Samsung introduced the first-of-its-kind Creators Galaxy Workshop exclusively for community members to engage them and provide them with a hands-on learning experience. This initiative was kicked off with their Lahore Chapter by hosting their first Creators Galaxy Workshop at National History Museum Lahore. Samsung aims to build a creative space for the younger generation to learn, create, and seek greater inspirations. With this initiative, Samsung plans to provide them with a platform to showcase their work to a larger audience and build those strong relationships with fellow community members.
Izza Shahid Amin Gilani, the Samsung Community Manager for Lahore chapter, kicked off the event with a welcome note and an introduction about the workshop. Acclaimed host, producer, and trainer, Adeel Hashmi opened the event and talked about the art of creation. Other speakers at the event included Safaa Rauf, Adnan Tariq, Eishbah Ayesha and Waliya Najib covering a range of topics from the art of personal branding to the art of visual storytelling. Different interactive activities were also conducted throughout the workshop with the attendees to keep them engaged. The workshop concluded with a photo walk at the historic Walled City of Lahore covering the picturesque Wazir Khan Mosque, Delhi Gate and surroundings. During the photo walk, the attendees were able to share and learn from each other while also getting feedback from trainers including Adnan Tariq, CEO of Filumbaaz and Waliya Najib, a female photographer hailing from Islamabad.
Creators Galaxy Workshop is the first of many workshops planned by Samsung to inspire and encourage Samsung community members and empower them. It hopes to provide them with a platform where they can share their content creations. Speaking at this occasion, Mr. Haroon Tarar, Head of Corporate Marketing Samsung Pakistan said that, “Samsung with this initiative aims to provide a platform for the amateur content creators to get inspired and learn from the rising and established professionals.”
