Samsung is launching budget-friendly Galaxy J4 and J6 in Pakistan

The South Korean tech giant and the world’s largest phone maker Samsung is launching two of its economical handsets Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J4 in Pakistan. The specification and features of both phones have recently been listed on Samsung Pakistan’s website. However, at this point, it is unclear that when Samsung will actually make these devices available for sale in the market.

As the smartphones have already been made official in India, both of them carries a barrage of features and reasonable specs. However, the Galaxy J6 has the bezel-less Super AMOLED Infinity display making its color look more gorgeous than its sibling considering the price difference we have there. That’s not it, there are many other things that clearly state the differences between both devices which are shared below.

Galaxy J6 specifications

This is the phone Samsung has also touted in ad specifically made for Pakistan stating “Galaxy J6 and J4 – Coming Soon in Pakistan”. To maximize the view, Galaxy J6 features a 5.6-inch super AMOLED Infinity display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1480×720.

Galaxy J6 runs Android 8.0 Oreo which is based on Samsung Experience skin. The phone is powered by the Exynos 7870 processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The phone has 3000mAh battery.

As far as cameras of the device are concerned, the Galaxy J6 packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f/1.9. While the front shooter for selfies is an 8-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/1.9. Both back and front cameras come along LED flash to take bright pictures in the night. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner on the back.

The device comes in black, orchid grey and gold color options but a purple color is apparently also coming. Considering its launching price in India, we can expect the Galaxy J6 to cost around PKR 24,000 in Pakistan. The phone is quite expensive in a way that other phone makers are offering a much better device in this price range, take Huawei Y9 (2018) as an example.

Galaxy J4 specifications

Samsung Galaxy J4 can be truly called as the next budget phone of Samsung in Pakistan. It offers a 5.5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio.

The phone comes with 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos 7570 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage. Galaxy J4 features Android Oreo out of the box and a powerful 3000mAh battery with a minimum of 20 hours talk time.

Talking about cameras, the phone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor with LED flash, however, on the front side, a 5-megapixel camera sensor with adjustable LED flash does the job for fine selfies. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner on the front home button.

Galaxy J4 also comes with black, orchid grey and gold color options. The expected price of the phone in Pakistan will be around PKR 18,000 and this still is quite expensive comparing to what Huawei is giving in Y5 Prime — a PKR 15,000 phone.
