Samsung Galaxy S9 official price and comparison with competitors

Samsung has officially taken the curtain off its new flagships, the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. The new flagships are set to hit the market on 16th March in the US and other major countries. The new flagships focus on improved camera with augmented reality capabilities as well as special focus on Samsung DeX, which turns your Galaxy into a full-fledged PC.

Let us have a quick view of the pricing:

Samsung Galaxy S9 Price (64GB): $720 (PKR 83,000)
Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus Price (64GB): $840 (PKR 94,000)

The biggest thing to notice here is that the Samsung flagship is more than $200 cheaper than iPhone X. Apple still hasn’t reduced the price of the iPhone X even after its disappointing sales. Samsung’s own Note 8 currently retails for PKR 99,999 as well.

Here are some current competitor flagship prices:

Samsung Galaxy S9 boasts a 5.8 inches Super AMOLED display with 1440×2960 pixels resolution. It is powered by Exynos 9810 Octa paired with 4GB RAM and 64/128/256GB storage variants with microSD card slot available. Battery stands at 3000mAh and is non-removable.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus has all above with a bigger display at 6.2 inches and bigger battery at 3500mAh as well as 6GB over the traditional 4GB.
