Samsung Galaxy Note 8 sets new pre-order record

It turns out that Samsung has overcome the Note 7 battery fiasco as the company announced that its newly launched flagship Note 8 has set a new pre-order record for the company.

Customers in the US have pre-ordered Note 8 more than any of the previous Note versions in the same time period. However, Samsung didn’t give the number as to how much phones have been ordered till now. The reason behind this pre-order record could be that the company is giving free gifts to the ones who are pre-ordering the phone.

It is astonishing news as the newly launched Samsung device is the most expensive device the company has released so far. It has a starting price of $930. However, it is reported that the pre-order was huge due to Samsung’s free pre-order gifts.

The gifts which the company is shipping includes a Gear 360, DeX dock, 128GB EVO+ microSD and Fast Charge Wireless Charging Convertible etc. The one who pre-orders Note 8 between the date of August 24 and September 24 will be treated with gifts.

“We’re thrilled to see the strong consumer response to the next level Note,” said Tim Baxter, president and chief executive officer of Samsung Electronics North America.

“Today’s consumers want to do bigger things in work and life, and Note helps make that possible. We built the Galaxy Note 8 for people who desire a device that lets them be productive and allows for self-expression.”

And by pre-ordering the phone they will get benefits such as 20% discount, free Wifi access on Etihad Airways, and 1-year free subscription of iflix.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comes with Exynos 8895 Octa chipset with Octa-core (4×2.3 GHz & 4×1.7 GHz) CPU and 6GB of RAM. Additionally, it also features a water resistant S Pen.
