Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) leak shows super AMOLED screen and Snapdragon 425 chipset

The mobile industry is changing at a rapid pace. New technological advancements are being unveiled in short intervals. These developments are often leaked to the internet before official company launches/unveilings.

As of now, some prominent leaks include the specs of the upcoming Galaxy S9, while confirmed models include the details of the Galaxy A8 2018. The J series is a vital part of Samsung’s product lineup. It caters to the low and mid-range market. The J2, however, is said to be a low range smartphone, exclusively for emerging markets.

As of now, the specs and features of the upcoming J2 have been leaked by a German outlet. The phone will feature an AMOLED touchscreen running a 540×960 resolution.

The leak suggests that Galaxy J2 (2018) will be powered by the Snapdragon 425 chipset along with a 4-core 1.4 GHz quad-core Cortex A-53 CPU. The phone will have dual sim support along with LTE compatibility, enabling the handset to attain up to 150 MBPS download speeds. The smartphone appears to be fully loaded with specs in an adequate price range.

According to the information revealed in this new leak, the back camera of the Galaxy J2 (2018) will be of 8 MP while the front will be of 5 MP. Both cameras will be accompanied by an LED flash. The phone will have a 2,600mAh replaceable battery which charges through a conventional Android micro-USB charging cable.

Interestingly, the phone is rumored to be running Android Nougat 7.1.1 and is expected to retail for roughly Rs.15000.

Samsung is currently the largest smartphone manufacturer in terms of quantity worldwide, and this can be attributed to the massive demand for its low and mid-range smartphones.
