Samsung Galaxy fold gets delayed, again

The smartphone-tablet hybrid Samsung Galaxy Fold which was expected to arrive sometime in June appears to have faced another delay, it is now said to launch in July of this year. A representative from Samsung has said that the release date of the Galaxy Fold has not been decided yet, the date for the launch schedule will be announced in the coming weeks, as reported by TechRadar.

Due to uncertain future of the Huawei’s foldable Mate X device following the US trade ban, due to which the Chinese tech giant is banned from doing business with the US companies, it is reported that Samsung is taking some extra time to ensure that the problems which the review units faced earlier are taken care of in the future devices.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold was originally set to launch on April 26 by the South Korean tech giant, but it was later extended due to the display-related problems that the review units faced which also included display damage caused by removing the protective layer from the screen.

Samsung later recalled the review units to investigate the reason for the screen breakage and delayed the release date of the device. After that, the company sent an email to its US consumers who pre-ordered Galaxy Fold stating that it will cancel all orders for the Galaxy Fold if it has not shipped the device by May 31st. Moreover, the company also asked US existing preorder customers that it will automatically cancel orders unless purchasers confirm that they “would like to keep their order”.

Now the company has again delayed the release date from June, and it is still not confirmed if the Fold devices will roll out in July as well. We will keep you posted if there comes any development in the Fold situation.
