Samsung Galaxy A5 2018 will come with Galaxy S8 like display

Samsung Galaxy S8 has one of the most beautiful displays ever put on a smartphone. Samsung called it the Infinity Display and later put it on Galaxy Note 8 as well. Now a new report suggests that even the Galaxy A5 2018 will come with an Infinity Display.

Samsung Galaxy A5 2018 has been leaked many times and it has already appeared in some listings. It is going to be the first non-flagship phone to come with an Infinity Display. The display will have a 412 x 816 resolution which means that it will also come with 18:9 aspect ratio. Galaxy S8 and Note 8 displays also have the same aspect ratio but with a lot more resolution. Well, that’s one of the things that differentiate a flagship and a non-flagship phone.

Moreover, the Galaxy A5 will come with Exynos 7885 chipset which is a mid-range chipset. It is an octa-core chip with two Cortex-A73 cores and six Cortex-A53 cores. It will have two variants with 4GB and 6GB of RAM. Storage capacity is still unknown but it should be 64GB with a Micro SD card slot. It will come with Android 7.1 out of the box and will be updated to Android Oreo soon.

Putting the Infinity Display in Galaxy A5 does not mean that the fingerprint sensor will be at the same spot on the back. It is expected that fingerprint sensor will be in the middle of the back just below the camera sensor. The phone is expected to launch in January 2018 because Samsung always launches the new A series devices in January.
