One would have thought that Samsung is satisfied with the release of the alluring S10 series as well as the Galaxy Fold, but that is clearly not the case. Having flooded the market these past few months with handsets the Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30, and Galaxy A50, along with the Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20 and the Galaxy M30, the South Korean conglomerate has now officially released the Galaxy A40 in the Netherlands.
As you can assume from the name, the Galaxy A40 fits snugly between the A30 and the A50 in terms of pricing. It features a 5.9-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and the Infinity-U display notch at the top for hosting the front camera.
Speaking of cameras, the A40 has dual rear cameras of 16MP + 5MP resolution, and like the A30, it features both regular and ultra-wide sensors. The front camera, on the other hand, stands out with a 25MP worth of resolution and an aperture of f/2.0.
Unsurprisingly, it also houses a fingerprint scanner on the back, along with a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset doesn’t disappoint under the hood either, as it employs the Exynos 7885 processor along with 4GB of RAM, 64GB worth of internal memory and a microSD slot for an additional 512GB. Additionally, the battery capacity is a decent 3,100 mAh.
The underlying operating system is the exciting Android 9 Pie with OneUI on the top, and the phone will be available in Black, White, Blue and Coral colors. As far as the price tag is concerned, it will set you back by 250 euros.
The Dutch retailer Belsimpel is already getting pre-orders in overwhelming numbers, and an official release date for April 10 has been set.
