Samsung finally releases the update to fix the S8 red-tint display issue

Samsung, the South Korean giant, has finally pushed the first update down the Samsung Galaxy S8 pipeline. The update is targeted at resolving the the red-tint display issue which several users have reported to have been facing.

The update, which is currently being rolled out in South Korea, will soon be made available to the other areas of the world as well. The software updates the smartphone’s firmware to G950NKSU1AQDG on the Galaxy S8 and G950NKSU1AQDG on the S8 Plus.

After installing the update, the user gain the control over changing the full-screen color balance on their smartphone, as per their preference, hence enabling the users to control the red tint in the display. The update also entails the option which lets user change the colors of the smartphone that can further change how the white tones appear at the edges.

After the update is made available to the respective markets, it will be downloadable via Apps>Settings>System Updates. If the update would be available, you would see a Download Now option. Just tap there.

Soon after the launch of the smartphone, some Korean users started to report that their S8 smartphones have received bore a red-tinted screen out of the box. Confirming the issue, Samsung put that the issue wasn’t related to hardware. Samsung stated that it would fix the problem with a software update.
