Part of the Road to Digital Pakistan 2020, P@SHA organized the 1st Roundtable on E-Commerce. The focus group discussion highlighted the key issues that are currently being faced by Pakistani e-commerce sector. The discussion was led by Syed Ahmed, CEO DPL and Chairman P@SHA followed by a workshop to identify issues and their resolution by Imtiaz N. Mohammad, Marketing Head Kaymu.
This discourse is a subset of a larger initiative that is being taken to align all stakeholders of the IT industry on a singular platform. To bring a collective impact, the activity aimed at bringing together stakeholders who are working in individual capacities. The participants addressed current issues and unexplored e-commerce opportunities, whilst proposing frameworks for government that can cause policy interventions, accelerating growth in the sector.
The discussion was attended by almost all key players of local e-commerce. The participants did not only include local and foreign ventures but also logistics solutions and online payment providers.
P@SHA will hold similar discussion for other IT sub-sectors as a part of the Road to Digital Pakistan 2020. The observations, recommendations and conclusions will be compiled into a comprehensive report to direct future efforts of IT stakeholders.
