Those of you interested in competing for innovative business and social entrepreneurship ideas are in luck as Mobilink Discover, an entrepreneurship and business plan competition offered in collaboration with NUST Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE) is accepting idea and team registration for another 2 weeks.
The earlier deadline was September 30th, but now the last date for registration has been extended to October 13th, 2014.
“DISCOVER: Prosperity through Entrepreneurship”, billed as the hi-profile Paradigm Changing Student Level Business Plan Competition, defines its aim as “to define a path towards creating a self-sustaining eco-system for higher education and wealth generation”, and works towards building the entrepreneurial skills of participating students.
The 2014-2015 instalment of DISCOVER is the third consecutive edition of the Business Plan Competition, and this year two tracks are being offered for the competing business ideas: Business Entrepreneurship, and Social Entrepreneurship.
Business Entrepreneurship covers the general and business-minded ideas which deal with sectors such as Mobile/Telecom, Energy, e-Government, Healthcare, Disaster Relief, and SME (Chemical, Agricultural, and Mechanical).
Social Entrepreneurship track, on the other hands, would host projects which work towards solving social problems, and fall under one or more of the categories like Healthcare, Education, Poverty Alleviation, Environment, Waste, Energy, and Water.
Apart from the mentorship, learning, and networking opportunities at every level of the competition, there are several monetary incentives for the winners and runners-up teams as well:
