Thousands of Reddit users faced difficulties accessing the website and app yesterday due to an outage that began around 12:20 p.m. PT or possibly earlier. The issue appears to have been resolved after approximately four hours.
According to Reddit’s status page, the problem has been fixed, and the platform is now monitoring the results.
During the outage, users encountered error messages such as “Upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers” on the homepage, with “Connection failure” cited as the resetting reason. On the iOS app, users saw the dead Snoo head, Reddit’s alien mascot.
On Downdetector.com, over 47,000 people reported issues, while many others took to social media to share screenshots of the connection error page and voice their frustrations.
