Rawalpindi Police Introduces Innovative Driving Simulator for New Drivers

RAWALPINDI: The City Traffic Police (CTP) of Rawalpindi have introduced a state-of-the-art driving simulator at their headquarters to enhance the training of new drivers.

According to a CTP official, this is the first driving school in the country to install such advanced equipment, which includes features like gears, a clutch, an accelerator, a steering wheel, and brakes. The simulator provides a realistic driving experience, allowing students to feel like they are actually behind the wheel.

The initiative was launched by Rawalpindi’s City Traffic Officer, Beenish Fatima, who emphasized the importance of using advanced technology to improve driving education. She highlighted that the simulator would give novice drivers the opportunity to practice in a safe setting, teach them how to handle challenging and emergency situations and increase their understanding of traffic laws.

During a visit to the driving school, the CTO tested the simulator and instructed the staff to ensure that learners receive comprehensive training to drive safely and proficiently. The spokesperson added that this program aims to reduce traffic accidents, enhance road safety, and prepare drivers to meet international standards through modern training techniques.

This initiative by CTP Rawalpindi is expected to be a significant step forward in promoting safe driving practices and encouraging adherence to traffic regulations.
