Punjab schools will resume classes on January 13 after the winter break, with the Department of Special Education introducing revised timings due to the ongoing cold wave in the region. These changes aim to ensure students’ well-being and comfort during the colder months.
The department has announced that special education institutions, which have been on winter break since December 20, will reopen on Monday. Classes will commence at 9:00 AM and conclude at 2:00 PM from Monday through Thursday and on Saturday. On Fridays, schools will dismiss students earlier, at 12:00 PM.
In response to the continuing cold weather, the department has eased the uniform regulations for students in specialized educational settings. The upcoming relaxation period will commence on January 13 and extend through February 15, permitting students to don warmer attire to better manage the cold temperatures.
In a recent development, it has been confirmed that all public and private schools in Punjab will resume operations on January 13, following the provincial government’s decision not to extend the winter holidays any further. Classes are set to resume as planned, even with the current cold weather conditions.
