LAHORE: The traffic police have announced the reinstatement of the 42-day waiting period for motorcyclists, requiring them to hold a learner’s permit for this duration before applying for a valid driver’s license.
The government temporarily removed the waiting period for motorcycle licenses earlier this year. Citizens could take the test for a motorcycle license right after getting a learner’s pass after the change.
Furthermore, Additional IG Traffic Mirza Faran Baig announced that the 42-day deadline for taking the driving license test has been renewed.
He further stated that this is the mandatory waiting period for motorcycle riders before they can take the driving test after obtaining their learner’s permit.
The province’s top traffic official said that no one would be able to ride a bike without a license and that all possible steps would be taken to make sure there is safety on the roads in the province.
