LAHORE: The Punjab government has issued an additional 250,000 Chief Minister Kisan Cards, bringing the total to 750,000, according to an agriculture department spokesperson.
The Bank of Punjab has authorized 487,000 applications out of 1.29 million that were received through the portal, according to the spokesperson. Farmers have already gathered more than 361,000 cards, which will allow them to buy things worth Rs 18 billion.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the Kisan Card will revolutionize agricultural development and improve the lives of farmers. The card can be used by farmers to buy insecticides, fertilizer, and seeds.
In addition, there are 2,600 licensed dealers spread out across the province who can provide non-computerized farmers with interest-free loans for wheat crop inputs.
