The Punjab Home Department has modernized the management of weapon licenses by introducing a digital system that allows citizens to handle tasks such as license transfer, renewal, and issuance of duplicate licenses online.
According to the department, citizens can now apply for transfers of weapon licenses and request duplicate copies through an online platform. Additionally, they can sell existing weapons and extend license validity across Pakistan without visiting government offices.
The online system aims to eliminate the need for in-person visits by offering the convenience of electronic filing of all required documents as well as payment of legal fees. This initiative streamlines the process, reducing time and effort for the applicants.
