Punjab Announces Winter Vacations Starting December 20

LAHORE: Khalid Nazir Wattoo, Punjab’s Secretary for Schools, announced on Monday that the winter break in the province will begin on December 20 and continue until January 10, 2025. The winter breaks will last for a total of twenty days.

The federal government has declared a public holiday in the twin cities, thus the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has decided to delay the intermediate practical exams that were supposed to take place on Monday.

The Controller of Examinations, Tanveer Asghar Awan, stated that the revised schedule for the delayed practical tests will be unveiled at a later date. According to him, the practical exams would go ahead as planned in all other districts except Rawalpindi.

Physics, health, and PE practical tests for intermediate students were scheduled for today.
