PUBG Mobile crosses 400 million downloads, introduces 4v4 death match campaigns

Tencent Games have announced that PUBG Mobile has crossed 400 million downloads across Android and iOS platforms with more than 50 million active user base per day. It is also the world’s top earning mobile game according to stats released yesterday. It has been roughly a year since the game was first launched on Android and later on introduced for iOS devices. There are no recent figures regarding Fortnite mobile but a report in December 2018 stated that it had around 30 million daily active users so it is quite possible that it is also around the 50 million userbase at this time too.

PUBG has been developed by Bluehole Studios and since then it has shot to popularity amongst gamers throughout the world. Tencent has announced a new 4v4 death match campaign mode to celebrate the milestone along with a new map, customized skins and detailed settings menu. There is also connection latency indicator on the main screen in which green, yellow, and red represent a good, average, or bad connection respectively.

The update 0.13.0 brings in an improved third-party cheat prevention system as well as separate control options for first and third person modes. There is also a Godzilla: King of the Monsters theme available for use in lobby and limited theme events. Aside from that, there is a new new popularity ranking system which rewards top 100 players with exclusive gifts.
