Elections 2018

PTI’s official website crashes due to unprecedented visitors count

The official announcement is yet to arrive and PTI’s official website has already crashed.

According to preliminary and unofficial results, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has swept the 2018 Elections by winning the majority of seats in the National Assembly of Pakistan. Undeniably, Imran Khan will become the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Pakistanis, expats, and basically everyone interested in the elections are searching for Imran Khan and PTI. Consequently, there is a massive amount of traffic directed towards the official website of the leading political party. As of now, PTI’s official website Insaf.pk is down. According to SimilarWeb, it was raking in almost 1M visitors a month and we believe, yesterday was the day, when its traffic peaked with hundreds of thousands of visitors in a single day.

The Insaf website was hosting an e-commerce store for buying merchandise, an official manifesto, and all the typical things a political party would have had hosted.

The news of PTI taking lead has been making rounds all around the world thanks to unofficial results pouring in since yesterday evening. Users flocked to the official site of PTI in bulk as a result, causing the website’s servers to crash and go offline.

Users on Twitter also reported that they were unable to access the website.

At the time of publishing this story, the website is still down.
