Pta Temporarily Blocks Mobile Internet Access Across Balochistan

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has temporarily banned mobile internet access in parts of Balochistan.

“The general public is hereby informed that, under the directives of authorized departments, mobile internet services have been temporarily suspended in certain areas of Balochistan,” the regulator announced in an official statement.

According to PTA, this step was taken to guarantee the safety of the public in light of the current security situation in these regions.

This occurs while the province is experiencing a security situation. As reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an operation against terrorists in the Harnai district resulted in the martyrdom of two security men, including a major, on Thursday.

“Security forces of Pakistan, aligned with the nation, remain committed to thwarting any attempts to disrupt peace and stability in Balochistan. Such sacrifices only strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR emphasized.
