PTA SMS Codes That Every Pakistani Should Know!

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has introduced a series of short codes designed to give mobile users enhanced control over their devices and communication settings. These codes  introduced by PTA help manage spam and telemarketing communications while also offering crucial device information.

PTA Consumer Service Short Codes

  • Block Spam and Unsolicited Communications: Send an SMS to 9000 to block spam and unsolicited messages.
  • Block Telemarketing Communications: Send an SMS to 3627 to block telemarketing communications.
  • Check 15-Digit IMEI Number: Dial #06# to view your device’s 15-digit IMEI number.
  • Check Registration Status of Your Mobile Device: Send an SMS to 8484 to check the registration status of your mobile device.
  • Check Mobile Number Portability: Send an SMS to 667 to check mobile number portability.
  • Check Total Number of Registered SIMs on Your CNIC: Send an SMS to 668 to check the total number of registered SIMs on your CNIC.
  • Report Child Abuse Content: Dial 1121 to report child abuse content.
  • Block Obnoxious/Unknown Communications: Dial #420# to block obnoxious or unknown communications.

These short codes aim to improve user experience by enabling quick and efficient management of mobile services.  Using these short codes allows users to actively manage their mobile services, leading to a safer and more tailored communication experience.
