Supernet Limited (PSX: GEMSPNL) has officially announced that it has been granted Fixed Local Loop (FLL) licenses by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). These licenses are valid for a period of 20 years, starting from October 22, 2024.
This is an important step forward for Supernet because it means the company can improve its phone services and build out its network infrastructure across Pakistan. This will help the local loop sector get better connections and better service quality.
The new FLL licenses are better than the company’s old Class Value-Added Services (CVAS) license, which was granted on October 23, 2009, and will expire on October 22, 2024. They cover all 14 Telecom Regions in Pakistan. Additionally, the FLL license has taken the place of the CVAS license.
Under the terms of its FLL Licenses, the Company will have more freedom to set up its own facilities and offer its customers more services. This is likely to lead to the Company making more money and having better margins.
