P@SHA ICT Awards 2016: Nominations are now open

Pakistan Software House Association, better known as P@SHA, has opened nominations for the ICT Awards 2016.

This is P@SHA’s 13th year running their awards that recognize innovators in Pakistan’s ICT sector. Their aim is to provide software and service application developers with local and international exposure by acknowledging their work and projecting it to a larger audience.

P@SHA ICT Awards are very extensive, recognizing people in 32 areas of Product and Service Categories which include Application Tools and Platforms, Tourism and Hospitality, School Project Award, Industrial Application, and Financial Industry Application to name a few. Some former winners of the ICT awards include, Arpatech, a custom software development company; weRplay, an indie game developer; ArbiSoft, Ingrain and Teddict.

Apart from the obvious benefit of achieving recognition, the winners of the P@SHA ICT Awards also get to participate in the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards where they go head to head with entries from the entire region. Furthermore, by participating in these awards you get to establish networks and create alliances and collaborations with potential companies. Not to forget exposure to investment opportunities and venture capitalists.

The nomination process is pretty simple.

  1. Visit www.pashaictawards.com and download the category nomination form you want to compete in.
  2. Fill in the details as listed in the application form.
  3. Send the filled application form to awards@pasha.org.pk
  4. If you want to include any videos as support material for your work, upload it to openly accessible platforms like YouTube or Vimeo. CDs, DVDs, flash drives are not acceptable.

While the P@SHA awards have attracted a fair amount of criticism over the years, nonetheless it is a good opportunity for you to network and get recognition for your work. The last date to apply is July 31st, 2016.
