The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has launched a nationwide program to encourage IT startups and specialized digital training by officially inviting applications to build e-Rozgar centers.
The Prime Minister has a broader vision for the expansion of information technology and the development of virtual capital, and this EOI is available to both public and commercial companies.
E-Rozgar centers will reportedly get up to Rs. 10 million in interest-free loans as part of the program, according to PSEB. The successful candidates will be able to get a head start on making money before they start paying back the loans, which will make setting up the centers easier financially.
The PSEB and PPRA websites have all the necessary information on the EOI, and the deadline for electronic submissions is November 20, 2024.
Approved building owners and developers are offered numerous enticing incentives by the scheme. So that you don’t have to worry about paying anything upfront, PSEB will cover the interest for the first two years on top of the interest-free loans. As a bonus, the bundle comes with complimentary developer training on DigiSkills and Ignite’s LMS, so they can run and expand the e-Rozgar centers like pros. PSEB is also offering free marketing assistance to the centers to increase their exposure and participation.
With the inauguration of 250 e-Rozgar centers, this project will cover every region and province in Pakistan. According to projections, 149 centers would be located in Punjab, 51 in Sindh, 28 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11 in Islamabad, and 6 in Balochistan. Three centers will be allocated to Azad Kashmir, while two centers will be allocated to Gilgit-Baltistan. In particular, these hubs will focus on helping small companies and independent contractors gain access to digital resources.
There will be cutting-edge technology and thorough teaching at each e-Rozgar center. PSEB will help pay for trainers by giving each center Rs. 20,000 a month to ensure the best possible teaching. Through targeted training in technology and entrepreneurship, the initiative also claims to boost job creation, digital literacy, and local economic growth.
In the long run, the goal of this joint effort between PSEB and the Ministry of Information Technology is to set up 10,000 e-Rozgar centers all over Pakistan. The program’s first step includes 250 centers. Its goal is to grow the digital economy and give Pakistan’s youth more opportunities to work in the global digital market. The government wants to boost economic growth, job creation, and digital literacy across the country by building up necessary facilities and teaching people new skills.
