In recent news, President Dr. Arif Alvi addressed the concept of implementing the latest technologies to further strengthen the cybersecurity domain of the country at the convocation ceremony of the National Defence University (NDU). Dr. Arif mentioned how disputes among nations have originated due to fake news. Moreover, he highlighted how Islam strongly discouraged the spreading of fake news as it merely created chaos in society.
According to the President, the best way for Pakistan to counter this was for the country to emerge as power by becoming a stronghold in the upcoming ‘global intellectual revolution’.
As digital tools and technology trends become more prominent which has led to numerous cyber-attacks globally. Hence, the country should take serious steps to enhance its cybersecurity of the country.
In order to ensure these enhancements, the President emphasized taking advantage of the 4th Industrial Revolution which would prove fruitful for the socio-economic development of the country.
