PM House to be converted into University of Emerging Sciences, Fawad Ch

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhary Fawad Hussain while talking to the local media outlets in Islamabad on Wednesday afternoon, has said that a new University of Emerging Sciences will be established at Prime Minister (PM) House with financial assistance from China.

Fawad Ch said that science is one of the most important subjects students study because it gives them the critical thinking skills they need in every subject. The government is now focused to establish institutes where students would learn about emerging sciences.

Science Minister also said the Media University which he earlier promised with a dedicated technology hub may not see the light of the day, as it will now become a department at the newly inaugurated National University of Technology (NUTECH).

He said that Pakistan is also endeavoring to conquer the space. This may seem uncertain as he had mistakenly said that Suparco sent the world’s biggest telescope to space. However, during his recent media talk, he has discussed his plans to send first Pakistani astronaut to space by 2022.

In his efforts to accelerate science and technology sector, Fawad Ch has announced to observe August as the month of Science and Technology. He said an international science conference will also be arranged on August 31, this year, where scientists of reputed international institutes will be invited to participate.

The Sci-Tech Minister’s remarks on the development of science and technology institutes seem greatly inspired by the PM Imran Khan views who recently said that “we want to make Sufism, a Super-Science in Pakistan” during his speech at Al-Qadir University Sohawa. The research on developing a science subject that is inspired by the ideology of spiritualism seems like a great deal to get things running in the upcoming University of Emerging Sciences.
