Pliro and Careem launch a joint health week campaign for a healthy Pakistan

Pliro and Careem have joined hands in launching a HealthWeek Campaign to promote a healthier lifestyle. The digital health startup and popular ride-sharing platform’s joint campaign was kicked off on 10th January and will last for a couple of days. During this campaign, Pliro will provide free consultations to anyone residing in Islamabad or Rawalpindi who books an appointment through its platform and then uses Careem to visit the doctor.

Pliro is an online platform which allows users to search and book appointments with nearby doctors. With Pliro mobile applications on both Android and iOS platforms, users can book appointments or get their queries answered from real doctors in a simple mobile workflow.

The purpose of this campaign is to emphasize the importance of regular health checkups in creating a healthy community. It also highlights how Pliro is striving to integrate technology with healthcare, thus making it easier and more accessible for everyone to partake in a healthier lifestyle.

Patients can get a free consultation with specific doctors throughout the HealthWeek campaign. To get a free consultation, they first need to book an appointment using Pliro’s platform and then book a Careem ride with the promo code CAREEMXPLIRO to get to the doctor. By showing the doctor appointment SMS from Pliro and e-receipt from Careem, they can get a full waiver of the consultation fee.

Talking about the significance of activities like HealthWeek Campaign in promoting a healthier image in society, Mr. Abdul Aziz, CEO of Pliro, said:

“This joint-health week by Pliro & Careem is an effort to bring awareness among people about the importance of regular health checkups and being healthy. Due to busy lifestyles and economic pressures, most of the people either do not find time to wait in long queues for checkups or avoid checkups due to high consultation fee. This campaign is an expression and initiative for such people that we are there to care for them by giving them free consultations & online appointment booking platform.”

While talking about Careem’s progressively increasing role in backing constructive social and welfare activities regarding its riders, Mr. Haider Navid, Supply Lead Careem Islamabad said:

“Careem cares about your health so Careem and Pliro are bringing an opportunity for you to be healthy in 2018. All you have to do is take a Careem and get a free checkup from one of Pliro’s doctors.”
