Peshawar will host Digital Youth Summit (DYS) 2014, an event which promises to bring innovators from all over the country under one roof. The event which will officially begin on 21st May has been organized in collaboration with KP IT Board, World Bank and Peshawar 2.0. The panelists and speakers will include Madeeha Hassan of Savaree, Owais Anjum of Cricout and Saad Hamid, city manager of Elance.
The event will comprise of an invite-only conference and a digital expo that will be open to public. The event will comprise of panel discussions, talks with well-known speakers and hands-on learning activities. Other activities will include giving programming introduction to school children. This will be the biggest digital event held in Peshawar till date.
This year, the main themes of the event are innovation, freelancing and startups. People from industry will share their success stories and panels will highlight international digital trends and try to inspire the audience to innovate and come up with new ideas while also talking about the issues and problems that startups face.
Special emphasis will be given to freelancing and teaching people how they can work online and use their talent and skill to make money while still sitting at home. The panel discussions will talk about the freelancing platforms and online work ethics as well as techniques which can help you stay safe online.
DYS aims to cultivate a spirit of entrepreneurship by giving people a chance to interact with people who have turned ideas into success.
