PASHA Session

A tweetic overview of session Talent and Where it is going.

PASHA ICT Conference 2014 was held on 15th November at Mövenpick Hotel Karachi and as always, our TechJuice team made sure to give a live coverage for the event on Twitter. Jehan Ara, the founder of PASHA, officially opened the conference with an informative session on “Talent & Where It Is Going?” Here is an overview of the first session of the event.

Pakistan is blessed with exceptional talent but sadly it is poorly managed and unpolished. The reason could be the education system in Pakistan which is merely creating traditional professionals rather than innovators and inventors. Often the thought of becoming an entrepreneur is received with raised eyebrows and discouragement. This leads to a lack of drive and energy which causes young entrepreneurs to quit at an early stage.

If we do not create a culture of inculcating critical thinking, encouraging to be an employer rather an employee, building sustainable systems and changing the mindset of people, we are wasting talent and brain draining Pakistan.

This talk did a good job by pointing out the loop holes, but the real question is who is going to resolve these problems? Government, private organizations, educational institutions or ‘YOU’, sitting behind the computer screen, reading this article and thinking of dreams that never came true because you were too damn scared to try.
