Participate in world’s first smartphone launch through virtual reality for free

The OnePlusOne was a phone that took the smartphone world by storm. The smartphone was initially launched on an “invite only” model, but the restriction was removed a few months ago. OnePlus is all set to launch the OnePlus2, the successor to the hit smartphone, with an entirely new dimension. For the first time in the history of smartphone reveals, the company will allow users to engage in the launch experience through Virtual Reality (VR) headsets.

We have seen various methods of smartphones being revealed, the traditional route has always been to reveal a phone through a live blog or live stream. OnePlus will be the first company to reveal their smartphone through the VR experience. They have made the experience even better by giving the VR headset for free. Users will just have to pay for the shipping of the OnePlus cardboard.

OnePlus promises this to be a memorable experience for users who can be near the stage, seeing fans and members of the team through the VR. If you want to order your OnePlus Cardboard when they are ready, you can click here.

Currently, the only features we know about the OnePlus2 is USB Type C and Snapdragon 810 v 2.1. For the full reveal of the phone, we will have to wait till July 27th 7:00 PM PT.
