Ministry of Science and Technology, Pakistan and State Committee on Science and Technology (SCST) of Belarus have initiated a joint science and technology contest between Pakistan and Belarus to strengthen bilateral cooperation among the two countries. The contest will include scientific and technical projects for 2019-2021 in the priority areas like ICT and other fields of Pak-Belarus cooperation.
Under this contest, the scientists and researchers from Pakistan and Belarus can submit joint projects proposals in the priority areas in science and technology till April 15, 2019.
The contest will be the first fruit of the cooperation agreement in the field of science and technology signed between the two countries on May 29, 2015. It was agreed in the third meeting of the Pakistan-Belarusian Joint Commission on 18th December 2018 at Minsk Belarus, that both countries will arrange an Executive Programme of Science, Technology, and Innovation for 2019-2020.
According to the decision made in the third meeting of the Joint Commission of Pakistan and Belarus, Belarus has invited researchers and scientists of the Pakistan-Belarusian Research and Development Institutions and the related universities to submit their Project Proposals in the respected areas.
These joint research projects in the contest will not only boost the cooperation between the educational institutions, research organizations of the two countries but will also help in expanding their business and academic relations in the field of science and technology.
Furthermore, it will help in promoting and commercializing the high tech and innovative products in the markets of both countries.
The contest is open for scientists, engineers, researchers and institutes from both countries who are actively engaged in advanced research in areas of science and technology.
